Lidia Porter, Navy Veteran empowering women, specifically moms, children, and men
Just an average girl from central California, Lidia enjoys being outdoors, is passionate about firearms, and most importantly loves spending time with her child. At the age of 17 Lidia joined the US Navy as a corpsman/ surgical technician stationed with US Marines and served honorably for 8 years. Afterward, she attended Boise State University pursuing a Bachelors, then a Masters in Criminal Justice while having a full time job at Idaho Deptarment of Labor being a Veteran's Advocate. Firearms Lidia landed a job at an AR manufacturing company in laser design and instantly took an interest in building ARs and started to take classes in proper firearms handling and profiency. She also started taking marketing classes which led her to start her digital marketing business and being an influencer. Currently she is working with several companies in the gun industry managing digital media accounts. After being exposed to the firearm industry she quickly learned there weren't enough women interested in firearms, specifically mothers. The only women that were interested in firearms were hunters or competitors, and she wasn’t either. Lidia's goal as a female firearm enthusiast/ shooter is to empower and encourage other females, as well as men and children in firearms safety. Size or gender doesn't matter. Educate those who are in favor of gun control or are afraid of handling one. This website is primarily going to be used to blog about topics that are important to her, experiences testing new products, and adventures in the gun industry in hopes that her ramblings can help someone by sharing what works for her and what has been learned in the process. Lidia has become a firearm enthusiast and strives to be a positive influence among other women. Remember there is a huge responsibility to owning a gun. No one is going to save you, you have to save yourself and your family. Hopefully you enjoy, please remember she is a blogging novice. |
